Case study
System for a rental company — case study
In daily use. We don't name the client: the project was done under contract.
Goal
The goal
The rental company's customers book through an external system. After that, managers handle the order and drivers deliver the equipment and collect it. Money comes in cash, by bank transfer and in several currencies. All of this had to live in one system, without re-entering orders by hand.
Work
What we built
- Orders from the booking system. Orders come in on their own, are normalised and land in the company's own CRM. The team gets a notification about each new order.
- Admin panel in three languages. Orders, a calendar and a daily plan. Customers, the fleet, deposits and rates. All messages in one shared inbox.
- Financial ledger. Cash, bank and wallet balances in several currencies, with reversals and transfers. It also shows how much cash each driver holds until it's handed in to the office.
- Reports. Revenue by month and category, fleet utilisation, the most popular equipment and the sales funnel. Every report exports to CSV.
- Telegram bot with roles for customers, drivers, managers and administrators. Users link their account and get notifications about orders and driver actions.
- Driver app for iOS and Android. A task board with the day's deliveries and pick-ups. Drivers hand over and receive equipment with a photo and the customer's signature, record cash and get push notifications.
Stack and scale: Flutter, TypeScript, PostgreSQL. 67 data models and 21 modules. The admin panel works in three languages, and the driver app has 9 screens.
Status
Where it stands
The company uses the system every day. The driver app is live on the App Store and Google Play. We don't link to the stores because the app carries the client's brand.

How the system fits together

We'll connect to the system you already use
Rentals, equipment hire and delivery work in a similar way: an order, money in several places and someone on the road. If orders already come from an external system, you don't have to replace it. Tell us how you work today. We reply within one business day and explain what the price is made of.
Questions
FAQ
Why don't you name the client?
The project was done under contract, so we show the work without the company's name. We can tell you more on a call, as far as the contract allows.
Do we have to give up the booking system we already use?
No. Here orders come from an external booking system, and the CRM, finance and driver app work with them from there.
How is the cash collected by drivers tracked?
The driver records cash in the app. The financial ledger shows how much each driver holds until it's handed in to the office.
